Amore Pacific: scalable digital twins for beauty marketing
Scalable Digital Twins for Beauty Marketing
Overview
The Amore Pacific Digital Twin Project was an ambitious initiative to digitize the brand’s product portfolio and create a scalable 3D asset library for marketing and e-commerce. As part of my work at Zixelise, I led the creative and technical development of a complete digital twin pipeline, producing high-fidelity product models optimized for both high-end rendering and interactive web use.

My Role
As Project Lead and Creative Lead, I directed the overall visual strategy, pipeline design, and production process. My responsibility was to ensure every product, from skincare bottles to complex cosmetic packaging, achieved both photorealistic accuracy and technical scalability. I supervised a small multidisciplinary team, defining workflows for 3D modeling, look development, rendering, and web deployment.

Digital Twin Creation & Optimization
I designed the process for creating digital twins from precise physical measurements and high-resolution photography, and later laser scanning. Each product went through retopology, UV optimization, and material setup to balance realism and performance. I implemented a multi-resolution asset strategy, preparing variants for offline rendering, real-time visualization, and web display, ensuring consistency across every output format.

Rendering & Visual Direction
For high-end marketing imagery, I established studio lighting and camera systems that matched Amore Pacific’s brand tone, soft, minimal, and elegant. I handled shader development and rendering optimization in Blender and ThreeJS, ensuring each product’s color, texture, and transparency translated naturally across formats. The same digital assets were rendered in both C4D/Blender pipelines and real-time engines, maintaining identical visual standards.

Web & Interactive Integration
A major part of my role was adapting these assets for the web. I oversaw the optimization of geometry and textures for WebGL and glTF, reducing file sizes while maintaining surface fidelity. I also developed shader presets and lighting templates for web display, allowing the products to appear consistent across interactive 360° viewers, online configurators, and AR visualizations.

Outcome & Impact
The project delivered a scalable, brand-consistent digital twin ecosystem used across Amore Pacific’s visual communication channels. It allowed the brand to generate marketing renders, interactive web experiences, and AR assets from a single source of truth. This project reinforced my belief that combining creative direction with technical precision can transform how brands produce and deliver visual content at scale.
